My payment failed
If your payment failed, the most common fixes are checking that your card details are up to date and trying a different card. Payment issues can also come from bank-side declines, expired cards, or fraud prevention rules on Stripe (our payment processor).
If none of the steps below resolve the issue, contact our support team through the website chat, we can help troubleshoot with you, though fraud prevention rules are managed by Stripe and can't be adjusted on our end.
Common causes of payment failures
Fraud prevention rules — Stripe (our payment processor) may block transactions to protect against unauthorized activity, for example when multiple card attempts come from the same IP address, or when a card triggers a system check before the transaction reaches your bank. These rules are set by Stripe and can't be adjusted on our end. Trying a different card usually resolves this.
Bank-related issues — transactions may be blocked by your bank due to security checks, insufficient funds, or expired cards.
User errors — incorrect card details, such as an invalid card number, expiration date, or CVC, can lead to payment failures.
System security locks — too many payment attempts in a short period can trigger a security lock, preventing further transactions until the next day.
Steps to resolve payment issues
Verify your payment details — double-check the card number, expiration date, CVC, and billing address. Make sure the card is enabled for online payments and has sufficient funds.
Try a different card — if a specific card is being declined even though there's no issue with it, using a different card usually resolves this.
Contact your bank — confirm with your bank that the transaction is allowed and not being blocked for security reasons.
Try an alternative payment method — use a digital wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay) or another accepted payment option.
Wait and retry — if you've made multiple failed attempts, wait until the next day to try again.
Request a manual payment link — if your saved card isn't being charged, contact support to request an invoice with a payment link so you can complete the payment manually.
Preventive measures to avoid payment declines
Avoid making multiple payment attempts with different cards from the same IP address within a short period
Keep your card details up to date, including expiration dates and billing addresses
Ensure your card is enabled for online and international transactions, if applicable
