Customizing the mock interview to a job posting
When you create a new mock interview, you can tailor it to the exact role you’re preparing for. After clicking “New Job Interview,” you’ll be asked to select the job you want the session to be based on. You can either:
Choose any job saved in your Job Board, or
Paste a job description manually if the role isn’t saved there.
The system then uses that job posting, together with the resume you selected, to generate questions that match the role’s requirements.
How the AI generates questions for you
When you create a new mock interview, the system uses two key inputs to tailor the questions to you:
Your resume — the one you selected when creating the session.
The job posting — either a job from your Job Board or one you pasted manually.
Based on these inputs, the AI generates a personalized set of interview questions that reflect the requirements of the job and the experience listed in your resume. This makes each session as relevant as possible to the role you're preparing for.
Tip: Practicing for a specific company or role
If you’re preparing for a specific opportunity, use the exact job posting for that role when creating your mock interview. Save it to your Job Board and select it from the list, or paste the full job description manually in the creation window.
This ensures the generated questions reflect the responsibilities, skills, and requirements of that particular role, making your practice session as close to the real interview as possible.
