Mock interview won't start or feedback is missing

Fixes for a mock interview that won't start, missing feedback, and lost sessions, plus how to review or delete past interviews.

Your mock interview won't start

Try these in order:

  • Check that you have an active subscription. Mock Interviews requires one.

  • Confirm the interview appears in the Mock Interviews panel with a Start button in the bottom-right corner. If it isn't there, it may not have generated, create it again.

  • Confirm you selected a resume and a valid job before clicking Generate, either from your Job Board or a manually pasted job description.

  • If Start doesn't respond, refresh the page and click it again from the Mock Interviews panel.

Feedback didn't generate or looks incomplete

If you click Check Answer and don't see Your Score and Feedback and Tips, or they look incomplete:

  • Make sure you wrote a response in the text box below the question first. Empty or very short answers may not generate complete feedback.

  • Refresh the page and return to the Mock Interviews panel. Your session should still be available there.

  • Click Show Answer to see an example response while you wait.

Your session disconnected

Your session won't close on its own, and your progress isn't lost. Return to the Mock Interviews panel and pick up where you left off.

Click Finish Interview on the last question to complete the session.

Audio or video isn't working

Mock Interviews is text-based. Questions and answers are exchanged through text, and you type your responses in the box below each question. No microphone or camera is needed.

Review or delete past sessions

Once created, a mock interview stays available in the Mock Interviews panel. From there you can:

  • Click View in the bottom-right corner to revisit it.

  • Click the trash can icon in the top-right corner to delete it.
