How Tailoring Works

Tailored resumes are generated automatically for each application once the tailoring feature has been properly activated on your account. Each time you apply to a job, the system creates a resume version aligned to that specific role using your profile information and the job posting itself, so you don’t need to manually tailor anything per application.

Keep in mind that tailored resumes require the additional tailoring subscription. Although you can apply with resumes you’ve created yourself, to receive fully optimized tailored resumes we recommend completing and editing the resume generated by our system first (see “Preparing your base resume for best results”).

No. Tailored resumes don't include any AI watermarks, branding, or formatting cues that would suggest they were generated by AI. Applications are also sent through trusted email domains, so employers receive your materials the same way they would from any other applicant — with no indication that they were created or submitted using AIApply. Recruiters do not reject applications based on the email domain used by AIApply. Instead, they focus on the content and qualifications presented in your application.

Cover letters are generated and submitted automatically whenever a job application requests one — no manual setup is required for each application. The system uses your profile information and the job posting to create a cover letter tailored to that specific role.

Please note that it is currently not possible to upload a personal cover letter, as all cover letters are generated automatically by the system.

No. Cover letters generated through AIApply are designed to sound natural and human — there's no need to worry about AI detection software flagging them. The Cover Letter Generator produces unique, original content for each application, so your letter won't read as generic or templated.

Every AIApply cover letter is unique. The AI generates personalized content based on your skills, experience, and the details of each job posting — so even for similar roles, no two cover letters come out the same.

You don’t need to manage multiple resumes manually. The system handles this automatically by generating a different tailored resume for each application, based on the specific job description of that role.

The most important step you can take to improve the quality of your tailoring is to complete and edit the resume generated by our system before applications start going out. The system uses your base resume as the foundation for every application, so making sure it's complete and up to date — with all your experience, skills, achievements, and key details — will improve the tailored versions sent for every role.

Yes — the tailored resume and tailored cover letter subscriptions work independently. You can purchase one, both, or neither, depending on what fits your needs. They are not bundled, so signing up for one does not automatically include the other.
