Getting started with the Resume Builder

The Resume Builder helps you create a professional, ATS-friendly resume in minutes. It can automatically create or update resumes based on your job goals or an existing base resume.

Main features include:

  • Create a new resume from scratch or from an uploaded base file.

  • Edit content manually or with “Edit with AI.”

  • Choose from six proven templates.

  • Export as PDF or share via link.

  • Translate or duplicate into other languages.

Importing an existing resume

You don't have to start your resume from scratch. When you create a new resume, you can upload an existing base file, and the system will use it to automatically create or update your resume based on your job goals.

If you want to change your base resume later, you have two options:

  1. Go to Settings > Preferences > Base Resume, where you can add a new resume or select one from the drop-down menu.

  2. Go to Resumes, select the one you prefer, click on the three dots on the right, and choose “Set as Base Resume.”

Choosing a resume template

The Resume Builder offers six professional templates to choose from. All are ready to use, but we recommend the Harvard template — it's the most ATS-friendly option and gives you the best chance of passing the automated screening systems used by many employers.
