Interview Buddy needs to process what the interviewer says in order to generate responses in real time. Here's what happens with that data.
What we process
During a live session, Interview Buddy processes:
Audio from the interviewer — used only to transcribe and generate real-time responses. Interview Buddy does not listen to your own voice.
The context you provide — your resume, job description, notes, and any custom prompts you set up before the interview.
What we store
After your session ends, the following are saved to your account so you can review them later:
The transcription of the interview
The AI responses generated during the session
Any feedback or summary produced at the end of the session
You can review past sessions from within the app.
What we don't do
We don't share your interview data with employers, recruiters, or third parties.
We don't use your interview content to train external AI models.
We don't retain audio recordings after the session ends — only the transcription is kept.
Deleting your data
If you'd like to delete a past session or all your Interview Buddy data, contact support through the website chat and we'll help you remove it.
