How to use the Auto Apply inbox

In this article you'll learn how to navigate your Auto Apply inbox — folders, labels, filters, sorting, and actions available on each email.

Written by Sofía

Your Auto Apply inbox is where every email related to your job applications is delivered — confirmations, interview invitations, assessment requests, verification codes, and more. Here's how to navigate it.

Folders

Your inbox is organized into four folders, accessible from the folder dropdown at the top left:

  • Inbox — all incoming emails

  • Sent — messages sent from your Auto Apply inbox

  • Junk — messages we've flagged as suspicious or low-quality

  • Deleted — deleted messages, plus OTP and verification emails, which are routed here automatically to keep your main inbox clean

Labels

Every email is automatically tagged with a label so you can filter and prioritize easily. Use the All Labels dropdown to filter your inbox by category:

  • Application Confirmation — confirmation that your application was received

  • Incomplete Application — an application that couldn't be completed and may need your attention

  • Interview Invite — an invitation to schedule or attend an interview

  • Interview Follow-up — updates or requests to continue after an interview

  • Interview Feedback — feedback from an interview

  • Assessment Invite — a test, task, or coding challenge to complete

  • Assessment Result — feedback or outcome from an assessment

  • Not this time — a notice that your application isn't moving forward

  • Hired — offer letters or onboarding-related messages

  • OTP Verification — one-time passwords or verification codes (handled automatically)

  • EEO Form — equal opportunity or diversity-related surveys

  • Other — messages that don't fit any of the above categories

Sorting and filtering

At the top of your inbox, you can adjust how messages are displayed:

  • Unread only — hides messages you've already read

  • All Labels — filter to a specific label

  • Newest / Priority — sort by newest received or by priority (most important messages first)

Use these together to zero in on what matters — for example, filtering by Interview Invite and sorting by Priority to catch time-sensitive opportunities first.

Actions on each email

When you open an email, you can:

  • Reply — respond directly to the sender

  • Forward — send the email to another address

  • Delete — move the email to the Deleted folder

  • Change the label — reassign the email to a different category using the label dropdown

You can also select multiple messages using the checkboxes at the top of the list, or use Mark all read to clear unread status in bulk.

Search and refresh

Use the search bar at the top right to find specific emails by keyword. Click Refresh to pull in any new messages — the inbox also syncs automatically when you open it.
