Pause or cancel: what's the difference?

In this article you'll learn the difference between pausing your Auto Apply queue and cancelling your subscription — and when to use each

Written by Sofía

Two different actions can "stop" Auto Apply, and they don't do the same thing. Here's what each one does.

Pausing your queue

Pausing your queue stops Auto Apply from submitting new applications, while keeping your subscription active. Your credits, matches, and profile stay in place, and you can resume applying at any time.

Use this if: you want to take a break from applying but keep your account and subscription active.

How to do it: open your dashboard, go to the Your Jobs tab, and click Pause. To resume, click Start.

Cancelling your subscription

Cancelling stops future billing. Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period, after which no new applications will be submitted and your credits are paused.

Use this if: you no longer want to be charged for Auto Apply.

How to do it: open Settings → Billing and click Cancel on the subscription you want to end.

Note: cancelling does not pause the queue on its own. If you want to stop applications immediately without waiting for the billing period to end, pause your queue in addition to cancelling.
